Electronic health records programs are just starting to get approved for the Gov. reimbursement program. Be very careful to read all the fine print about "meaningful use" in our DC clinic setting; you might not be eligible for as much Gov. money as your EHR provider told you about. Prices of these systems varies widely; don't get fleeced by some smooth talking sales-man today .... and find out you don't use 90% of that "new magical software" that you bought!

Now is the time to request full scope of practice access and full reimbursement from all insurance companies for your valuable Chiropractic /CAM services. The government doesn't make grocery stores sell groceries to Medicaid recipients for 1/2 price; we shouldn't have to accept 1/2 price as full payment for our services either. Call your State and Federal legislators soon and often to tell them you want fair fees for you, your family, and your patients. Dentists are starting to get payment for preventative care; we give that care often, too, and deserve non-discriminatory reimbursement.
